           In order to read Martin Luther King, Jr. 's biography, you need to know some important people in his life, the ones who influenced him during his Civil Rights activism life.

They are Rosa Parks and Mahatma Gandhi.

THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT

(BLOWIN' IN THE WIND - BOB DYLAN)

          The civil rights movement captured the nation's attention in 1963, and musicians proved no exception. The marches, protests and tragedies of 50 years ago influenced some of the greatest artists of the 20th century, including Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Harry Belafonte, among others. 

           Bob Dylan is a very famous American songwriter who has won many awards for his music. He is most famous for the songs he wrote in the 1960s, but he still writes songs now. Dylan is very much famous for writing songs of social commentary. In other words, his songs talk about things that are good and bad in the United States.

            His song "Blowin' in the Wind" was an anthem for the civil rights movement:  it poses a series of rethorical questions about peace, war (specially the Vietnam War) and freedom - it is an atemporal song, though.
